This page seeks to identify ecologists and evolutionary biologists who are women and/or from a group traditionally underrepresented in the sciences (e.g., those from racial or ethnic minorities, those with disabilities, people who identify as LGBTQIA). The page was created and is maintained by Gina Baucom and Meghan Duffy. Research has shown that we create more diverse groups when we identify candidates from a list, rather than selecting based on recall. Our goal with this list is to help people identify scientists who might diversify seminar series, award nominees, etc. For questions or help, please email diversifyeeb@gmail.com.

Note: This page is a work in progress! We’re trying to adjust as necessary, and apologize for hiccups along the way!

  1. Interesting site. Not looking to be ‘identified’. As an amateur follower of evolutionary biology I believe the field will benefit from more wholistic (feminine?) perspectives. I’m finding curious parallels between financial and biological evolution models.
